Have you noticed that all the women-targeted TV commercials nowadays end with "because I deserve it"?
I feel bad for people who feel that they don't deserve. I feel equally bad for people who feel that they do deserve. But above all I feel that those advertisers who try to take advantage of people's insecurities don't deserve anything.

Does this mean you don't think people should think enough of themselves to deserve something? For instance, why should you feel so entitled to outstanding food? Maybe you should head to the golden arches and call it a day....
ReplyDeletePeople should definitely think enough of themselves. Enough to understand that they neither deserve, nor don't deserve, anything. And enough to understand that the same applies for everyone else. There's a big gap between wanting outstanding food and deserving outstanding food, a gap which even golden arches can't bridge.
